Our Initiatives

Her Story Lab is a flagship initiative of She Voice Uganda dedicated to equipping girls and young women with storytelling, journalism, digital media, and advocacy skills to amplify their voices and drive social change. The initiative provides hands-on training, mentorship, and practical opportunities for participants to document and share stories that highlight the experiences, challenges, and achievements of women and girls in their communities.

Through workshops, mentorship, media production, and publishing opportunities, Her Story Lab nurtures a new generation of ethical storytellers and changemakers who use the power of storytelling to promote gender equality, inspire action, and influence positive change. The initiative also creates pathways for young women to pursue careers in media, communications, and content creation while building their confidence, leadership, and digital skills.

The She Voice Schools Mentorship Program is an initiative that empowers adolescent girls and young women in learning institutions with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to reach their full potential. Through school-based mentorship sessions, the program provides safe spaces where learners receive guidance on leadership, life skills, career development, sexual and reproductive health, mental wellbeing, and personal growth.

By connecting students with positive role models and experienced mentors, the program encourages girls to stay in school, make informed life choices, and become confident leaders and changemakers in their communities. Working closely with schools, teachers, parents, and partners, She Voice Uganda is building a generation of empowered young women equipped to shape a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

The She Voice Awards is an annual initiative of She Voice Uganda that celebrates and recognizes outstanding women, girls, and champions who are driving positive change in their communities. The awards honor individuals and organizations whose leadership, innovation, advocacy, and service have made a meaningful impact in advancing gender equality, empowering women and girls, and promoting social development.

Beyond recognition, the initiative provides a platform to amplify inspiring stories, foster networking and collaboration, and encourage more women and girls to lead and create lasting change. By showcasing role models from diverse sectors, the She Voice Awards inspire the next generation of female leaders while reinforcing She Voice Uganda's mission of amplifying women's voices and celebrating their contributions to society.
