Stories that move women forward, told by the women living them.
She Voice began in 2024 with a simple belief: the stories that shape a woman's life should be told in her own words. For too long, women in Uganda have been spoken about and spoken for. We are building the place where they speak for themselves.
We are a women-led publication and a community of young storytellers, writing about the things that decide our futures: our health, our money, our safety, our rights, our families, our land. Not from the outside. From inside the lived experience, with honesty and care.
If you are a girl with a story and the courage to tell it, you belong here. If you are a reader who believes a woman's voice can change a room, a policy, a life, you belong here too. We are not trying to reach everyone. We are building for the people who know that when a woman is heard, a whole community moves forward.
This is how we do things. We tell the truth, we tell it well, and we tell it consistently.
